The Challenge: revenge, denial of Truth in favor of self-preservation, afraid to tell or fully see the Truth, resistance to positive change/clinging to toxic emotional attachments, cowardice, annoyance, satiety, disgust
The Breakthrough/Potential Wisdom: rising from the ashes after acceptance of deep inner Truth, revelations that initiate a renewal, forgiveness, psychological healing, release of unhealthy/restrictive entanglements, summoning bravery in the face of great fear, connection to Soul mission/purpose/calling that emotionally propels positive action, transformation
Total debauchery is expressed within the 7 of Cups. Governed by Venus in Scorpio, this Tarot card reveals the unpleasant, perhaps even outright disturbing, parts of human nature that we often deny and shield ourselves from, either willfully or subconsciously. We become aware of the tendency to crave, lust after and enjoy the dark-side within ourselves through a deep-dive into our own psyche or as it’s shown to us through the behaviors of others. It’s the primal hunger for satisfaction, no matter the cost. We come face to face with shadow because it has been ignored or otherwise left unchecked. It’s very often revealed through smoke and mirrors — the others in our life who betray, abandon or abuse us.
True to the definition of the word, debauch; this is the domain of corruption and moral impurity. And worse…. it’s not accidental. There’s an element of malevolence that can be painful to see in the Full Moonlight that illuminates this time like low-hanging lights in a cold and dark interrogation room.
The good news is — cover-ups and “deep states” of corruption can be exposed with this energy, which is essential for us to Rise (like a Phoenix - the Highest expression of Scorpio), purify and course-correct. If there was ever an energy of draining a swamp, this would be it. [You can see the swamp-like environment on the image of this card above.]
Silence, like a Cancer, Grows. . .
At this time what is likely to be revealed are those things we’ve kept bottled up tight, even the things we’ve kept hidden from ourselves. Shame. Resentment. Sickness.
It all becomes too much and the shadows can be seen in this moonlight. And for good reason, actually.. What’s been kept secret or otherwise contained has (or is about to) become toxic… and it’s already wreaking havoc in ways that may not be totally obvious. This is the realm of what we don’t want to see, because it’s not pretty. But pretending or ignoring won’t allow an environment for change….
The cups on the 7 of Cups overflow with poison, putrefying everything in their wake. This is an opportunity to see what’s wrong and make the positive changes. The essential changes we couldn’t hope to make if we never knew what was going on. Remember it’s a blessing, not a curse.
Moonlight Is The Best Disinfectant Now
With this Full Moon we get to release those dark emotional attachments that suck the life-force out of us. Bring your awareness to a space in your body where you’ve been feeling drained, perhaps holding onto toxic energy or otherwise out of balance, and tune in for answers. These moonbeams are a reflection of the the Sun in Taurus, that’s just been charged-up by Uranus, so our bodies can speak to us more clearly when we pay attention to our bodies —- and what it is we are embodying.
Are you being true to yourself?
Is what you’re consuming nourishing you or making you sick?
Have you neglected something you need? Or are you holding onto negative emotions that must be released, so you can feel free?
Now’s a great time to get some revelations and expel the heavy weighted energy. Subconscious patterns can get lit up and show us where something has turned sour within our body, a relationship, a project, etc. Perhaps a dramatic change is calling, and now the clarity comes to make that necessary change a bit easier.
Walking The Plank
Scorpio is the realm of pirates and criminals of all kinds, and during my weekly forecast live-stream for this week I had a vision of walking the plank. (I love it when the psychic data comes through in such relevant and creative ways! Ha!)
With the 7 of Cups we’ve lost our connection to the Divine, or higher power, and we’re operating on human nature alone, succumbing to lower energy attractions. A serious imbalance is present, and there is a need for a release — or purge.
You could think of it as walking the plank… leaving behind the “pirates”; the dangerous habits or manipulations of a criminal mind, and jumping ship. Open your arms and trust that the ocean will welcome you. Symbolic for trusting — choosing — the Divine. The Divine within you and the Higher Power that is omnipresent. The ultimate safety net for a Soul who feels lost, but never really is.
We may feel exposed with this one…
Whenever we cling to one vibration, ignoring the opposite, an imbalance occurs. When it carries on for too long it becomes toxic…. This is the experience revealed through the 7 of Cups.
We must make a choice, knowing we live in a reality of duality. There is a dark and a light energy. We cannot know one without the other. We can no longer deceive ourselves with this moon. An opportunity arises that shows us, clearly, that something must change. Trust that when you are brave enough to see what it is, however dark or painful it may be, you can. Answers, support and whatever is needed to support you in the next step of the journey will arrive.
